This Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) study aims to “identify and address unmet safety and mobility needs in rural areas,” and identify strategies to meet mobility needs of different types of rural counties. The study highlights improving broadband to facilitate technology that improves safety and mobility as a key strategy across rural counties.
