Automated Transit Mobility Specialist
Sam Lott (NREL)
Career expertise in automated guideway transit system applications for district and major activity center access and circulation, combined with current experience in automation technology development through automated/autonomous vehicle applications in transit service will support the project efforts in the study of automated mobility districts. Current work within NREL is addressing the connectivity aspects of new mobility through on-demand service modes, as well as the convergence of automation with electrification of transport vehicle systems.

Ali Mosleh will co-lead the Resilience and Reliability and Security sub-groups under Thrust 2 – Systems Analysis and Optimization. Resilience and Reliability will address resilient design and system reliability. Security will investigate best practices to protect new mobility systems from potential threats.

Brian Taylor (UCLA)
Brian Taylor will co-lead the Land Resource Management sub-group of Thrust 1 – Land Use and Urban Planning. This group will study land resource management in the context of urban planning for new mobility. He will also co-lead the Municipal Budgets group under Thrust 1, which will understand how municipal budgets can adapt to accommodate and promote new mobility technologies.

Evelyn Blumenberg will co-lead Thrust 3 – Human Centered Design. Thrust 3 focuses on mobility equity and fair access to technologies, workforce equity, health, and safety. She will also co-lead the sub-group on Mobility Equity to ensure equitable access to mobility.
